“Turning Over” Misconceptions in 3-5 Science Through Hands-on, Learner-Centered Reteach Minilessons

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Help your students regain possession of mastery in science! In this session, participants will engage in a learner-centered science reteach minilesson based on a misconception surface from district assessment data, experience real-time checking for understanding, and discuss methods for tracking student mastery level in response to the minilesson. After the minilesson experience, participants will access their own DLA data or most recent DFA data, select a misconception, and create and share a minilesson specific to their own student needs. Participants in this session should leave with a better understanding of the method and purpose of a hands-on science reteach as well as samples of minilessons for future use or future planning reference to help close gaps and get closer to the end zone!
